Over 150 Allotee of DDA Housing Scheme 2014 Surrender their Flats

DDA Offers 2,000 Ultra-Modern Flats for Senior Citizens

More than 150 people who has won flat in the mega housing scheme 2014 of Delhi Development Authority have already surrendered their flats in the past few weeks.

“There have been about 150 surrenders so far, mostly from Narela. Mostly we have been told that the people did not visit the flat earlier. People only visited after the draw of lots. People have surrendered because they feel Narela is yet to be developed. This argument doesn’t hold well, it took years before people started investing in Noida,” explained DDA vice-chairperson Balvinder Kumar.

As published in the hindu one of the applicant said, “We went to see our flat in Rohini, it is a very small flat, we are not very keen to keep it as it does not prove cost-effective in future. I think the flat is feasible for mostly end users, not for those who are looking for a short-term investment,”
