1,92,000 houses sanctioned by Andhra Pradesh under central housing scheme

Andhra Pradesh has sanctioned 1,92,000 houses under a central housing scheme for the low-income groups (LIG) people of the society. The Union Government is aiming to provide houses for urban poor by 2022.

The most awaited Housing For All Mission was launched by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 26 June 2015.
The Union Government has taken steps to providing houses for urban poor under the biggest housing scheme of Housing For All by 2022.

According to the reports, the Union Urban Minister Venkaiah Naidu said Andhra Pradesh had responded first and entered into a memorandum of understanding with the Union Government. As per the details, Andhra Pradesh had sanctioned 1,92,000 houses.

Under the scheme, Visakhapatnam will also get more than 20,000 houses and the scheme will be implemented in first 59 towns and cities of the state.
