After 2008, Chandigarh Housing Board (CHB) has decided to launch another biggest housing scheme in the city. The new housing scheme will be launched in sector-53. In this scheme, the housing board will offer 500 housing units of one room, one bedroom, two bedrooms and three bedrooms. Here also a multistory housing scheme will be built like sector-63.
The board will determine the flats rate after study market. The housing board has sent this scheme for approval to the estate office plan approval committee.
However, people believe that the scheme will only succeed if the 2BHK flats will be closed from Rs 40 to Rs 45 lakh. Actually, the housing board had launched its 200 flats in April 2016 in sector-51. But this scheme got the poor response due to the high prices of flats. In this scheme, the price of 2BHK flats was kept 69 lakh.
In sector -53 housing scheme, about 80 flats of EWS, 120 flats of one room, 100 flats of two-bedroom and 200 flats of three-bedrooms will be created.
In this year, the residents of Panchkula will get two big gifts. In order to make slum-free city HUDA will cross the first stage. The flats will be constructed under group housing scheme in existing and newly resettled city areas.
To make slum-free city about 10,000 flats will be created. The construction will start from Budhnpur. Above 500 flats will be constructed here. The town and country planning and huda estate office has started the work.
