CM Gives Aasra Yojana Allotment Letters for Free Houses to the 10,067 Urban Poor
The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Akhilesh Yadav will distribute the allotment letter of free housing constructed under Aasra Yojana to the urban poor eligible beneficiaries of the state today (17 December 2016). This will be done in a program held in local Indira Gandhi Foundation.
The Chief Minister will also distribute the allotment letters of free E-Rikshaw to the selected privately owned manned rickshaw pullers.
During the program, CM will distribute free housing allotment letters to the 10,067 poor beneficiaries under Aasra Yojana while 2,000 beneficiaries while 2,000 beneficiaries will be benefited under Free E-Rickshaw Allotment.
It is well known that government has implemented many ambitious schemes to provide the basic facilities to the urban poor. These schemes have been launched under the department of Urban Employment and Poverty Alleviation program through all the duda offices of all the districts of the state come under Suda.
In this order, Aasra Yojana was launched by the state government in order to provide free housing to the people of Minority-dominated areas and urban slums. This scheme was launched in the year 2012-13. In this scheme, the affordable housing units were provided to the selected eligible beneficiaries. A total number of 33,941 housing units have been approved by the Uttar Pradesh Government.
Thus, the state government had decided to provide E-Rikshaw to the manual rickshaw pullers in order to provide relief and avoid physical hard work.
Under this scheme, about 6,000 E-Rickshaw has been distributed to the manual rickshaw pullers of 32 cities till now. In today’s program, free E-Rickshaw will be distributed to the 2,000 beneficiaries.
