The launching date of the most awaited housing scheme of the year i.e. DDA Housing Scheme 2017 offering 13,000 flats has been further delayed for a week due to non-printing or not-ready of brochures and forms. After this delay, this scheme is expected to be launched in the last week of this month.
Decesion on the launching date from the two dates i.e. June 23 and June 26 is yet to be taken by the land owning agency. After the Authority meeting to be held next week, the final announcement on the launching date will be made.
The Principal Commissioner of Delhi Development Authority Mr. JP Agarwal said that earlier, we were planning to begin the scheme on June 19 but it seems impossible because brochures are not printed yet. We don’t want last minutes hassles at banks so we are looking forward to a date in the last week of this month.
He added that besides this, all preparations and inspection of the flats to be offered under the scheme has been completed.
According to the Aggarwal, the authority has made all the preparation for the launch. The inspection has been made and flats are ready. No glaring discrepancies have been found. Only minor repairing is required that will also be finished before the handover.
Under DDA Housing Scheme 2017, around 13,000 residential flats will be offered by the land owning agency. Out of these residential flats, 350 are 2BHK Middle Income Group (MIG) flats, while the remaining are either 1BHK Lower Income Group Flats (LIG) flats or Public flats.
The land owning agency has organized 6 teams consisting its engineers and independent observers for the inspections of the flats.
A special provision of a joint visit of the flat by the allottee and DDA official before the final allotment has been made by the Delhi Development Authority.
