DDA Housing Scheme 2017 – DDA has extended the application date till September 11. Now the home buyer can apply until the new date announced by the Delhi Development Authority. The authority on Wednesday extended the last date of application and also relaxed the seizing registration fee on surrendering of the house.

In the new provision of the DDA if buyers surrender the houses with in the 15 days of allotment of demand letter then no penalty and houses are returned after 15 days of allotment of the letter, 10 per cent of the registration amount will be forfeited.
The LG Anil Baijal give the relaxation of the penalty. The DDA has received only 8,000 application while 75,000 forms were sold till August 8 against the scheme offers over 12,000 flats across all income categories. The scheme was launched on June 30.
All banks which are tied up with the DDA were not ready to give the loan on the registration amount due to the forfeited clause. So the response of the buyer is cold for the scheme.
The housing commissioner JP, Agarwal said, “The banks’ inability to give loans had discouraged many serious buyers. So, we have relaxed the penalty amount. It will ensure that banks finance the registration amount and it will attract more buyers who had lost interest because of the clause.”
