PM Awas Yojana – The much-awaited new housing scheme of DDA (Delhi Development Authority) will be linked to the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. In the first week of July, the scheme can be formalized.

Out of 13 thousand of this scheme, only 350 flats are two bedrooms ie MIG while the remaining one bedroom flats are LIG and the Janta Flats. Most of the cost starts from Rs 14.50 lakh to Rs 16 lakhs. Some of them are priced at up to Rs 30 lakhs. The price of public flats will start from Rs 7.50 lakh to Rs 12.50 lakh. The prices of MIG flats will be between Rs 31 lakh and Rs 50 lakh.
Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, arrangements for subsidy in the bank loan have been made by the government on a flat upto Rs 30 lakhs. In this case, while most of the new schemes of DDA are close to the same price. Therefore, DDA has decided to add this scheme to the Prime Minister’s housing scheme.
It is being said that after adding their flat to the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, DDA will not have to make separate apartments for this mission. This will also save the government money and people will get the benefit of financial subsidy up to 2.5 lakh rupees.
According to sources, more than ten thousand people returned flat due to the size and value of the flats last time. Therefore, DDA is now adopting this method to include those flats in a new scheme and sell it to them.
