How to transfer DDA property to another Person

Did you know that the Delhi Development Authority allows to transfer property to someone who is a family member or to someone outside blood relation. If you wish to changed the owner name of your DDA property to a family member or to someone outside blood relation. Here is the completed formality you should follow.

There are different formality to transfer the property to someone and it depend upon the reason for the deed. Here are the some of the main reason to transfer the DDA property to another Person
1. Transfer due to dead of the owner
2. Transfer to someone outside the blood relation.
3. Transfer as a Gift

Transfer due to dead of the owner can be considered to be of two types namely the owner has left a WILL and if the owner has not left a WILL behind.

Here are the documents needed to transfer when the owner has not left a will.
1. Affidavit
2. Indemnity Bond
3. Relinquishment Deed
4. Original Death Certificate
5. Proof of relationship – Copy of ration card, passport or voter’s ID card, duly attested by gazetted officer/notary public/magistrate
6. No Objection Certificate (NOC) or redemption deed, if plot is mortgaged
7. One photograph and three specimen signatures of mutate, duly attested by class I gazetted officer/Ist class magistrate.
9. NOC from the society (in case of a society plot)
Copy of “D” form/completion certificate duly attested

And if the owner has left a will, then in addition to the above document the following documents will be needed.

Copy of “D” form/completion certificate
1. One photograph and three specimen signatures of mutate duly attested by class I 2. gazetted officer/Ist class magistrate.
3. NOC or redemption deed, if plot is mortgaged
4. NOC from the society (in case of a society plot)

If the property is to be transfer outside the blood relation, in addition the document in the case one the following documents will be needed.
1. One photograph and three specimen signatures of mutate duly attested by Class I gazetted Officer
2. NOC or redemption deed, if plot is mortgaged
3. A certified copy of assessment order of income tax and house tax receipt showing the name of the person in whose name property is being assessed
Proof of payment of ground rent from the society [in case of a cooperative society plot]

And if you are to donate the property to someone the following document will be need.

  1. Proof of relationship of donee with the donor – copy of ration card, passport or voter’s identity cards, duly attested
  2. One photograph and three specimen signatures of done duly attested by class I gazetted officer/Ist class magistrate
  3. No dues certificate from the society in case of a cooperative society

After gathering the needed document from the above cases you can directly approach to the DDA and every formality will be completed.
