Karnataka Govt. launches new housing scheme for Transgenders in Bengaluru
Finally, Karnataka government has decided to launch a new housing scheme for transgenders in Bengaluru. The Karnataka government has launched this new housing scheme especially for transgenders because these people are facing the social exclusion in the city.
According to the published news in the newspaper, Bengaluru Development Minister, K J George, announced the housing scheme for over 600 transgenders living in the city. The Karnataka government will develop a township for the economically weaker sections of society.
Besides this, George said that he would instruct the Bengaluru Urban district administration to come up with a blueprint of the housing for the transgenders and he has also promised to provide the social security for the transgenders in the city on behalf of the government.
