Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) has decided to announce the MHADA Lottery Worli for the allotment of 3,000 flats. The authority will offer these flats to the category of MIG and LIG after the redevelopment of Worli BDD chawl project completes.
MHADA Lottery Worli BDD Chawl Project
According to the plan, the construction work responsibility has been given to the TATA Capacite who won the tender in June first week this year. The redevelopment work of Worli BDD Chawl project will start very soon. This will project will be completed into 5 phases in next 8 years.
Under this project, at least 3,000 flats would be constructed. These flats will be allotted through the lottery for MIG and LIG. In this lottery, the tenants will get 2 BHK flat which is 500 sq.ft from 160 sq.ft. However, about 121 chawls are located in this area, which has 9,680 tenants. They will have an alternative of the house at the same site.
The MHADA has sent the project details to the government for approval. After receiving the final approval TATA Capacite will start the construction work of this project. The company has won the tende at the bid of Rs 49,617 per sqm.
