The state government of Maharashtra has decided to construct affordable houses under Centre’s Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) – Housing For All (HFA) Scheme in Pimpri-Chinchwad in Pune.
According to the information, the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) prepared a plan for the development of 25,000 affordable houses by the end of 2022 in Pimpri-Chinchwad in Pune. The PCMC has targeted to construct 7,500 flats in the financial year of 2017-2018.
According to the plan, a demand survey will be started under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in Pimpri-Chinchwad in Pune from 17 April 2017. This demand survey will help to identify the exact demand of houses in the city.
Under the scheme, the houses would be constructed for Economical Weaker Section (EWS) & Lower Income Group (LIG). However, these houses will be available in the size of 440 square feet at the cost of about Rs. 10 lakh in Pimpri-Chinchwad or Pune city.
How to Apply for the Scheme:
The PCMC will invite the applications through the PMAY demand survey. Regarding this, PCMC will an advertisement very soon which will be appeared in some Marathi newspapers. Besides, the online application facility will be available at six zonal offices of the PCMC.
Eligibility Criteria for Apply
- The applicant should not have any house in his/her name.
- The applicant must be a resident of Pimpri-Chinchwad.
- The annual income of applicant belongs economically weaker section category should be up to Rs 3 lakh,
- The low-income group category applicant’s annual income should be in between Rs 3-6 lakh.
Under the scheme, the Central government will provide Rs 1.5 lakh while the state government will contribute Rs one lakh to the beneficiaries as an assistance of the scheme. A beneficiary will be required to pay Rs 5-6 lakh. Besides, a facility of the loan will also be arranged by PCMC.
