PM Awas Yojana Chhattisgarh – Govt. to Construct 11 Lakh Housing Units & 1,472 Flats in Chhatisgrah
Recently, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh has announced the construction of around 11 lakh affordable housing units under PM Awas Yojana (PMAY). Under this scheme, the government will provide 2 lakh affordable housing to the eligible beneficiaries of the scheme in this financial year. Besides this, about 2,416 residential flats will also be constructed in Raipur under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY).
Government will construct 1,472 flats for EWS (Economically Weaker Sections) and 944 flats for LIG (Lower Income Groups) under PM Awas Yojana in Raipur. Besides this, the government will also provide affordable houses and residential flats to those people who don’t have their own house and who have lived in mud houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
The government has also distributed allotment letters to the eligible beneficiaries of PMAY. Government will also provide Home Loan facilities to beneficiaries under PM Awas Yojana for repair of their old houses.

Under PMAY the government has set a target, according to the target no one will remain homeless as every people have their own house by the year 2022. The government will also provide an amount to the beneficiaries of the scheme for the construction of their housings.
Besides this, government also provides 90 days wages to the beneficiaries under MANREGA scheme. The beneficiaries will also get 12,000 Rupees by the government for construction of toilets under Swacch Bharat Abhiyaan.
