PM Awas Yojana Gramin Buxar (Bihar)
Be your own home is everyone’s dream. The dream of having a pucca (concrete) housing of the people of rural areas is going to complete through center’s ambitious scheme Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY).
The Rural Development Department has set the target of construction of affordable housing in Buxar District (Bihar) for the financial year 2016-17. Under this target, about 5,304 affordable housing will be constructed in the district. After getting the target, the identification of the eligible beneficiaries has been started in the blocks.
Arvind Kumar Choudhary, the Rural Housing Department Secretary has given the target of constructing 5304 houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana to Buxar for the current financial year.
Of the total 5,304 affordable housing units, 3810 units are reserved for Scheduled Caste (SC), 443 units for Scheduled Tribes (ST), 443 units for minorities and remaining 888 units for others.
Housing Supervisor Rakesh Kumar informed that beneficiary selection processes have been almost completed.
Official sources informed that the identification of the beneficiaries will be based on economic calculation. Stressing on transparency, the department has launched an app. Photographs related to the physical verification of the beneficiary’s residence will be uploaded on the app.
