PM Awas Yojana Jamshedpur – Govt. to Built Houses for 6000 Poor
In order to change the look of the city, the municipal corporation of Jamshedpur is actively working on the four components of the Central government’s PM Awas Yojana (PMAY). Under one component of PMAY, houses will be built for 6000 poor people living in slums in Adityapur.
According to the Municipal Executive Officer Suresh Yadav said that we have required 25 acres land to construct these flats on the basis of the number of beneficiaries received in the survey. The government officials have been marked at various places and sent to the Collector for investigation. However, these flats will be constructed by the builders and hand over to the beneficiaries.
Under the second component of PM Awas Yojana self-construction, about 909 beneficiaries have been selected so far. The houses would be constructed such person who has own land and the government will provide Rs. 2.5 lakh in four installments, whose annual family income is less than Rs 3 lakh and there is no permanent house anywhere in the country.
Mr. Yadav said that the beneficiaries who did not start their work their names will be removed from the list. the intensive investigation is being done for this. Those beneficiaries who have got the first installment, they will get the second installment along with the photo of the construction by meeting with City Manager Rahul Kumar and Rohit Rahul Sandhad. All beneficiaries have been instructed to complete the work until June 20. Nearly one hundred beneficiaries have completed the construction by getting all the installments.
In the credit link subsidy component of PM Awas Yojana for a house, the government is providing 6 percent discount on the interest of bank loans up to Rs. 6 lakh. For this, 213 applications have been received by the Municipal Corporation. They have been sent to banks for credit approval.
