PM Awas Yojana Jharkhand: Govt to Construct 4,80,283 Affordable Housing for Rural Poor
Ramkripal Yadav, the Union Rural Development State Minister informed that under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin (PMAY-G), about 480,283 affordable housing will be constructed by the year 2019. Although, the housing department has set a target of constructing 16,422 affordable housings in the current financial year 2017-18.
Eight types of housing units could be constructed by the beneficiaries. These units will be constructed at hilly area, water area, plane and other area. An assistance of Rs. 1.85 lakh will be provided to every eligible beneficiaries for the construction of their housing under the scheme.
Other than this, he also informed that the centre has allotted an amount of Rs. 3093 crore for Jharkhand. Out of this, 1758 crore is allotted for MANREGA, 636 crore for Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, 425 crore for Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana and remaining 274 crore is allotted for employment and irrigation.

Every town will be connected to the road and around 9872 KM will be developed. The government has demanded an amount of Rs. 9.36 crore for land survey and 131.36 crore for record room. 98 percent of labours are linked to Aadhar Card.
