As per the latest news, the government has decided to construct 20685 houses in Korba city to make a slum-free city under the Central government’s PM Awas Yojana Korba. This decision has been taken as per the report of the survey which was conducted by the corporation in Korba City.
After conducting six months survey, Delhi’s company has submitted its report to the corporation. Four types of houses will be built under PM Awas Yojana Korba. A complete blueprint for the building of every habitation has been prepared from the list of beneficiaries.
In order to provide housing for all, the survey was started by the Municipal Corporation through the Piliwar Associates last year and survey end in April.
The team reached all the hundred settlements in all 67 wards of Korba city. In these settlements, their form was filled according to the needs of the beneficiaries.
They were also registered for four types of houses built in the scheme. The Delhi-based company has also submitted its Detail Project Report (DPR) to Korba Corporation.
The survey report has been prepared by placing permanent and temporarily slum settlements in two categories.
The municipal corporation will now start work on the basis of this report after taking permission from the government for construction work.
In the past, the survey was done by the municipal corporation for housing for all but due to many flaws, surveys were carried out in the city from outside.
Here, the acceptance of the construction of buildings under the PM Awas Yojana Korba at four different places of the city has been received by the government. It’s tender has also been issued by the corporation and the construction will be started soon.
The team has categorized the beneficiaries in three categories by giving the number of the beneficiaries houses, raw house, non-lock connections, sewerage system, connecting the road.
According to this, the settlements of 100 to 133 number are categorized in good places, 134 to 166 number, have been placed at the mid-level and above 167 number are categorized in the last level, the settlements of the three categories in the city of Korba were kept as such.

According to the survey report of Delhi team, 93 permanent slum colonies out of 67 wards in Korba. Among these, three are on the land of the railway, three irrigation departments, two on the forest department land, the rest of the state government is in possession of the land.
Of these settlements, the settlements have been demanded the construction of most houses, including Saramanglapara, Ramsagarpara, Tulsinagar, Ratakhar, Patelpara, Motisagar Para, Mudapar, Rajivnagar, Parasabhata, Bhadrapara, Nehrunagar, Bankimongara and other settlements.
