PM Awas Yojana Manipur – The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) will be launched in Manipur on 24th June by the by Union Rural Development Minister Narendra Singh Tomar on June 24. The main motto of the scheme is to provide housing facilities and assistance for poor and underprivileged villagers.

According to the sources, the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana was previously known as Indira Awaj Yojana (IAY) before it became PMAY and is generally known as PMAY-Gamin in the villages and PMAY-Urban in the cities and towns.
According to the RD and PR Minister Th Biswajit, about 6000 affordable housing units are planned for Manipur under PMAY-G. The Ministry has also allocated Rs 56.87 crores for the scheme.
1- Applicants should not have a permanent residence anywhere in the country
2-The annual income for (EWS) class is up to three lakhs and three lakhs to six lakhs for low income (LIG) category.
