In Nagpur city, the scheme (PM Awas Yojana Nagpur) of giving a home to the poor at affordable rates is being given a connotation. The house will be available to the poor for 2.5 lakh rupees. Socially backward and citizens living below the poverty line will be given home with special priority.

MNP has planned to provide housing units at affordable rates in collaboration with Nagpur Improvement Trust (NIT). By 2019, 50 thousand houses are set up to be built. In the first phase, the proposal to build 10 thousand houses has been approved.
On the basis of approval of the proposal in the meeting of the NIT authorities on Saturday at the residence of Surface Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari, the decision on various subjects was taken. It is worth mentioning that with the cooperation of the Central and State Government, the scheme to make the house available to the poor at affordable rates in the city has been prepared under the guidance of Gadkari.
It is being said that the cost of at least Rs. 6 lakhs will be seen to build the house. Earlier it was told that this house would be available for Rs. 3 lakhs. Now Gadkari has said that the price of the house can be up to two and a half lakh rupees.
A special plan is also being prepared for citizens living in Slum areas. Demand for 50 to 60 households in the slum area, for which they will also be made a house. Apart from this, the concept of the smoke-free hearth in the city will be realized.
Under the Ujjwala scheme, gas connections are being given to the poor. Those whose names are not in the BPL list, but the income is low, they will also be given a gas facility. For this loan will be made available from the bank.
