PMAY DDA will Construct 1 Lakh More Houses in Next Five Years


Delhi Development Authority has decided to construct one lakh houses in next five years to accelerate Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY). DDA will launch new housing scheme of 20,000 houses every year. This information was given by the DDA’s chief secretary Uday Pratap Singh on Friday.

According to the officials, DDA has played a major role to provide affordable housing in Delhi. Till now, DDA has launched 45 housing schemes and DDA Aawasiya Yojana 2017 is the 46th housing scheme of DDA which is linked with PMAY scheme. Through this, about 4.25 lakh houses and 1100 societies have been constructed. Total more than 8 lakh houses have been constructed in Delhi.

During the launch of DDA Aawasiya Yojana 2017, Urban Development Minister Mr. Venkaiah Naidu said that DDA has removed the five years lock-in period and people can take the benefit of subsidy on home loan interest under PMYA. Through this allottees can resale these flats. DDA is expecting that through this large number of people will come forward to apply for this scheme.

However, DDA has offered 12,072 residential flats of LIG, MIG HIG and Janta Flats. These flats are located at different locations such Rohini, Narela, Jasola, Pitampura and other more places. The scheme will open for registration till 11 August 2017.

Good thing is that people can fill the application form through the both online and offline mode. The people can purchase the scheme brochure at the cost of Rs. 200/-.
