Last chance for those who are willing a home. They will now be able to fill the form of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Roorkee till May 28. After survey and registration of the ward-wise beneficiaries, a special camp has been set up in the corporation, where a large number of people are reaching for filling the PMAY application forms.

Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, the government’s goal is to provide a roof to everyone by 2022.

For this purpose, the beneficiaries are being selected through bodies. In the Roorkee Nagar area, the work of completing survey and scheme form was started on 2 January 2017. Ward 1 to 10 was selected for the first phase survey by the Out-Sourcing Company Devishi Educational Society.

There were a survey and form to be filled up till January 8. After that, the campaign was to run from wards 11 to 20 and from 9 to 16 January in the 21 to 28 wards from 17 to 23 January. As soon as the campaign got momentum, the Model Code of Conduct was started on 4th January 2017. With this, the campaign was also braked.

According to the Corporation officials, there is a provision of bank loans, grants etc. to provide housing to the people under the scheme. On March 15, the Code of Conduct was rejected, but due to March closing, the work of re-surveying and formation was not started. Since April 8, the ward-wise campaign has been run.

Varun Malhotra, Project Manager, Roorkee, says that the survey was completed on May 12. Although many people were left out to fill the form. In view of this, the Corporation administration has now fixed the date for filling up the form till May 28.

This is the plan

Under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Roorkee, grants of 1.25 lakh to 1.50 lakh to the people having annual income upto 3 lakh and a bank loan of upto 6 lakh to the people having annual income 3 to 6 lakh under Credit Linked subsidy Scheme. Also, there is a provision of a concession of upto 2 lakh under this scheme.
