The Central government is likely to add more 3.5 lakh houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Urban in Tamil Nadu. However, the Centre government has earmarked 2.49 lakh houses for the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana to Tamil Nadu.
According to the sources, the Urban Development Department to send a demand survey. However, the Tamil Nadu is the second leading state in terms of allocation under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. The officials said that about 3.5 lakh houses are expected to be allocated after we receive the demand survey from the state government.
As per the eligibility criteria, the beneficiaries will get the subsidy up to Rs. 2.30 lakh under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Tamil Nadu. The subsidy will be directly credited to the loan account of the beneficiaries.
This subsidy will help the beneficiaries to reduce the loan amount. The beneficiaries will get the subsidy as per their income. The government will also provide the subsidy to the Middle Income Group (MIG) whose annual income should be up to Rs 18 lakh.
The government will also start online facility for registration with the help of Tamil Nadu Real Estate Regulation Authority (TNRERA). However, an official portal for TNRERA was unveiled a month ago, the website is yet to be equipped with uploading documents. The realty regulator in Tamil Nadu is also the authority for Andaman and Nicobar Islands with regard to RERA.
