SC Final Deadline for DDA to Allot Rohini Scheme 1981 by July 2016
Supreme Court orders may give a relief to the allottees of Rohini Residential Scheme 1981. On Tuesday, the Supreme Court has given its final deadline to Delhi Development Authority (DDA) to hand over more than 24,000 developed plots to allottees by July 2016.
According to the published news, a bench of Justice J S Khehar and S A Bobde said that the fraud has continued from 1981 to 2014. We will not allow this fraud to continue even for a day more. Somebody will go to jail if this deadline is breached. We make it clear that officers will be in solid trouble if they do not meet the deadline. We are not going to extend this even by a day
In orders to follow the SC orders, the bench directed the agency to issue final allotment letters to 11,000 allottees by September this year after completing the work of external developments, which will include roads, sewage, water connection lines and temporary electric connections in Sectors 28, 29, 30 and 34 in Rohini.
Besides this, the Supreme Court has ordered the DDA to hand over developed plots by July 2016 of remaining 13,000 allottees in Sectors 34, 35, 36 and 37 in Rohini.
Before a Day, the bench had ordered to the DDA Vice-Chairman for a personal appearance to explain the failure to hand over developed plots to the allottees.
The bench has direct the Delhi administration and Delhi Police to take appropriate measures – preventive as well as remedial.
