Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority YEIDA is offering Diwali offer by which approved distribution of enhanced compensation of 64.7% to 25,500 farmers of 30 villages falling in the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority YEIDA area. However, the compensation will be given only if 80% of the farmers withdraw any legal petitions pending in the Allahabad high court (AHC).
According to Times of India Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority chief secretary, Alok Ranjan “We will start verifying affidavits submitted for withdrawal of legal petitions and thereafter start disbursal of compensation. This could start soon after Diwali. We will set up camps to expedite the process,” said Arunvir Singh, CEO, Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority. “My priority is to clear the sectors where we have to allot land to our allottees which is located in sectors 18, 20,”
He also said that “Land where chief minister’s projects are proposed, 100-acre Electronic Manufacturing Cluster, which we have recently allotted and land for all development projects will also be tackled on priority,”
Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority Diwali offer with this 21,000 residential allottes are likely to start getting possession of their plots by March 2016. The size of the plots ranges from 300 sqm to 4,000 sqm in sectors 18 and 20. The plots were put up for sale in the year 2009. But it faced several delays, however, as farmers from 77 villages, whose lands were acquired, demanded higher compensation.
